Well Fair season is upon us with June hosting our two local events, the Canada Hill Primary School Summer Fair and our fantastic annual Ogwell Summer Fair on the Green on Saturday 24th June.
We would still welcome volunteers to help set up and man stalls on the day and any donations that you can give for the raffle, plant stall, books, dvds, etc.
Do get involved and share in this great community event for all.
With Canada Hill Primary School Choir, the Dog Show, a Karate demo, Cosmo, Ian Milsom Duo and more for entertainment, The Union Inn Hog Roast, Yannis’s Greek Souvlaki, the BBQ, Cream Teas and The African Chef offering a choice of food to suit vegans, vegetarians and carnivores alike, there should be something for all tastes, washed down with a cuppa from the WI, a fruity Pimms, a cold glass of cider from Agy or a pint of beer or glass of wine from The Jolly Sailor bar.
We have the old favourites stalls and sideshows and some great new attractions too. How about having a go at the Ogwell Olympics! You could even try your luck winning a garden bench courtesy of Southern Timber or a Landrover experience from Matford Landrover. Some fantastic prizes on offer in our raffle and auction (see specific terms & conditions on the day, where applicable).
As the sun goes down there will be a Ceilidh with free entry for all, come on have a go it’s really good fun for young and old alike, you do not need to be a good dancer (trust me, I am not!). Or just come a buy a drink and some food to watch the hilarity unfold and finish the day looking over Dartmoor.
We hope to see you there for a great day raising money for our Parish organisations.
