After the massive success of last years Pre-School Fun Day, the organisers of this years event are hoping it will be the best yet. So keep Sunday 7th August free and come along to Ogwell Village Green for a day full of fun for the family.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972, that a casual vacancy exists in the office of Councillor for the Parish of OGWELL, and that unless ten or more electors of the electoral area have, on or before the 12th July 2016, submitted a request in writing to the Returning Officer, Forde House, Brunel Road, Newton Abbot TQ12 4XX that an election be held to fill the vacancy, the Parish Council will take steps to fill the said vacancy.

The Hall continues to be busy with all our long-standing groups making use of our valued local facility. It is also pleasing that Zoe’s new ZC School of Dance is proving so popular, currently catering for the 2-14 age range on a weekly basis across a range of styles. This has added “another string to our bow” in trying to offer something for everyone at the Hall. If you have an idea for a new group which you might want to start, or want to enquire about availability for a “one-off” booking, please contact Eileen Deveau by e mail on email@example.com
As I write this update the half term works are just being completed at the Hall. Many thanks to all those who have advised on what should be done, part
funded it, and carried out the works. We now have an up to date kitchen facility installed which should make meal production a lot simpler for Luncheon Club and large community events. We are no longer “cooking on gas”, but on a modern electric oven and hob combo !
We also have a new front doorbell which should now be heard in all parts of the building.Several other more minor issues have also been addressed, but, as always with a building such as ours, we still have a few items on the “to do” list!
Elaine Deveau is already busy taking bookings for our facilities, following her recently taking over the role of Bookings Clerk, please contact her on
e mail: firstname.lastname@example.org if you want to discuss a family event or regular booking at the Hall.
